On day two, I have a special giveaway AND I've got the chance again to interview the irresistible King of Hell, Elias! He didn't make it easy, though. So, I won't leave you guys hanging anymore. Continue on to read his answers to my nosy interview questions, an excerpt from Genesis Queen and don't forget to enter the giveaways!
Andie: Hey, my sexy, scary King! *winks at him* It’s nice to see you again. How are you doing? It's been quite a while.
Elias: *grins, while reclining in his seat* You’re looking particularly delectable today. What is the name of that perfume you’re wearing?
Andie: Why, thank you. I don’t wear any. This is my natural scent… okay maybe that and my new shower gel. Like it?
Elias: Smells divine.
Andie: I’m guessing we’re in the human realm – precisely my house which is surrounded by angel locks - this time and not in Hell, because your bro is still pretty mad at you after what you did in Genesis Queen?
Elias: *leaps to his feet and snatches Andie out of her chair* Disband the goddamn Angel Locks immediately!
*his talons indent the skin of her upper arms as his eyes began to glow with fire*
Andie: *pats Elias’ arm* Easy big boy, I was just testing your awareness. I don’t want anyone to catch you. But You’re going to need to loosen up a bit for this interview. Now, could you let me go? Please!
Elias: *releases Andie long enough to fist her hair* Are you saying there are no Angel Locks and you were just screwing with me?
*slides a talon along her cheek as his eyes glint dangerously* I dislike being toyed with. Immensely.
Andie: Well, I wouldn’t phrase it that way. But no, no Angel Locks.
Elias: Wise mortal.
*returns Andie to her chair*
Andie: Thank you. Do you miss him? Did you regret anything?
Elias: *settles into his seat once more* It’s unfortunate things had to progress the way they did, but I do not regret my actions. If given the same choice, I’d make the same decision. The fault can be laid at Madison’s feet.
*shrugs* Isn’t she always to blame? I won’t pretend to deny I didn’t enjoy—
*clears throat* That’s best saved for the book, eh? We’re archangels, we’ve lived millennia. This is not the first quarrel we’ve endured. Micah will come around.
Andie: Damn, I envy you guys. I understand why he is mad, but I still owe you a “Thank You” card or something. You always make things more interesting. Although the majority of readers consider you as purely evil, and hate you now even more. Why do you think is that? Are you seeing yourself as an –not my words– evil son-of-a-bitch?
Elias: I take thank yous in the form of sex or torture, but no cards.
*ponders Andie as his talons swish along the arm of the chair* I do not understand his anger. We’d agreed to do anything and he reneged on our deal. He’s lost his edge thanks to that uptight princess of his.
*takes a deep calming breath* Why should I care if anyone hates me? Hmm…I guess I am an evil son-of-a-bitch, but Father’s not lifted one hand to halt my behavior, so maybe that makes him a trifle evil as well. What do you think, Andrea?
Andie: I don’t think you will ever understand his reasons, not until you fall in love. I know, I know… it will never happen. Also, I know you don’t care what the others said, I didn’t say you should, I was just curious about how you see yourself. As for your father, I think you have a point.
Elias: As you should see my point.
Andie: Were you ever a double-crosser? *smirks*
Elias: Not to my brothers, but to mortals…I guess you could say I’ve double-crossed many. It’s not my fault they didn’t read the fine print of our covenant.
Andie: Yeah, the small prints…
Elias: The devil is in the details. *winks*
Andie: Uh huh… Just out of curiosity, on a scale of 1-10, how often do you lie?
Elias: Never, so that’d be a zero.
Andie: Now, I can’t stop thinking about how should I know if you’re telling the truth…
Elias: Easy. I always tell the truth.
Andie: *rolls eyes*After everything that happened in GQ, how do you see your future? You weren’t exactly a good guy – not that if you would be anyway, but some would say you overstepped the line this time.
Elias: My future is the same as it always has been. I’m one of the Kings of Hell. That will not alter in the future. I did not overstep the line, but rather I took the hard actions Micah was too pansy-assed to implement. *makes a disgusted face* I should receive a medal or some accommodation.
Andie: That’s what I said. No one listened. *shakes head*
Andie: I’m lobbying for your book, but I’m sure you know that, so please, could you just stop making it even harder for me to convince Gracen and her hellhounds, that you deserve one?
Elias: *flashes a wicked grin* Thank you for lobbying for me. As for Gracen, she will do as she’s told. Dom’s got her well under control.
Andie: I hope so *smiles*
Elias: *nudges his foot against yours* Trust me.
Andie: Do you think redemption is possible for you? Because they say that’s the only way to get you your own book. What would you want to see in it? Can you see a possible romance? *winks*
Elias: Who the hell said I needed redemption? *shakes head and mutters about ‘pretentious, judgmental mortals’* What would I like to see in my book? Hmm…*taps his chin and thinks for a moment* For starters, I’d like to see torture, sex, pain, more torture. I think that’d make for a bestseller. What about you?
Andie: Who said you needed redemption? Like… everyone. What would I like to see? I’m good with what you mentioned, throw a good amount of fight scenes in and we’re good to go. *mutters under her breath really quietly* And maybe a little romance too. But I would be fine with the whole story about this rebellion from your perspective. I just want you to be the lead character.
Elias: No one’s opinion matters but my own. And I say I do not need redeeming. My father was wrong in what he asked of us. Can you imagine being a child forever? Always being told what to do, how to behave, and what your reactions should be? Your opinions, thoughts, and wants never mattering to your parent? Never being adult enough to make your own decisions? That was how Father treated us. Our rebellion is justified. But I digress…*makes a circular motion with his hand for Andie to continue* Proceed with your questions.
Andie: Fine. Most of the readers think you can’t love anyone. I know you do love your twin, more than anyone. Would you actually die for him?
Elias: Love…*snorts* I would die for my brother.
Andie: Isn’t that love?
Elias: *shrugs* Semantics, I suppose. I call it devotion, loyalty and respect. My affections for my brother don’t weaken me the way love does.
Andie: Could you kill your brother?
Elias: Why would I want to? *makes a face* Simple answer is no.
Andie: No, I know you wouldn’t want to. I meant IF for some reason, it would come to a fight (to the death) between you and him, could you be able to deliver the killing blow? Just play along and let’s pretend It could happen.
Elias: *sighs, growing agitated by the repetitious question* I repeat…no. Micah is angry, yes, but regardless what you think, he’d never be able to deliver the killing blow, so, once again, why would I want to kill him?
Andie: Jesus Christ… *notices her mistake when Elias hisses* oops, sorry! I don’t know, it was just a theoretical question, but let’s move on.
Andie: Are you bored, want to torture and/or kill me (you are NOT allowed to do that!), or having fun with this interview? Either way, you still are going to have to answer a few questions. *chuckles*
Elias: *claws gouge the arm of the chair* Don’t get impudent with me, you feeble mortal. The things I could do to you…you’d break quickly. *leans forward and scraps a talon across Andie's forearm, opening up a gash on her skin* Unless you humans are sinning or screaming from my torture, I’m always bored with you. Only when your blood is flowing—*nods at her arm*—am I amused.
Andie: So, you are amused now. It’s easy, but not really healthy to please you…
Elias: If I were easily amused, what would be the challenge in that?
Andie: You sooo have a point. What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
Elias: Even though I despise the princess, I’d do anything for her, because she’s our future.
Andie: *leans closer to Elias in her chair and whispers* What do you think of Gracen?
Elias: *leans forward, puts his lips to her ear and whispers back* She’s beneath me, why would I give her any thought?
Andie: Because you owe her. But that’s pretty much answered my question.
Elias: *laughs* The only ones I owe are my brothers, Micah, Lucifer and Raguel. No one else deserves such accolades.
Andie: Do you have any secret aspirations she doesn’t know about? I won’t tell her, promise.
Elias: *chucks her beneath the chin and he sits back in his seat* Andrea, darling, my aspirations are no secret. They are the same today as they were when we created Hell. All I want is mankind’s damnation and to remove them from Father’s salvation. I’d say we’re winning the war.
Andie: Aww man, here I thought I’m going to learn something, that not even she knows.
Andie: Is there anything else that you'd like to add before we end?
Elias: *retracts his claws* No.
Andie: Seriously? C’mon say something to your loyal fans.
Elias: *grasps Andie's wrist and holds her arm steady as he licks the blood from the wound he gave her* I’m into blood play. Care to participate?
Andie: I’m not really in the mood of donating blood, but you can continue the licking part, though. Anyway, that’s it. We’re done. It was fun… for me anyway. Thank you again for answering my nosy questions. Meeting with you is always a pleasure…when you can’t hurt me. And you can’t, because If you do, who will hold Gracen back from killing you off? *smirks* Now, go before Zenny finds us and beats the crap out of you. Hey, easy with the “shut up or I’m going to kill you” look. I’m just worried about you, that’s all.
Elias: *chuckles* Do you always ramble this much? Gracen will not kill me because she secretly adores me and Dom won’t allow it. *smirks back* And Zennyo Ryuo—Pfft. Not the threat you seem to think he is. No need to worry, I can handle myself. *pulls Andie out of her seat and settles her on his lap, so that she's straddling his thighs* Where’s my good bye kiss? And make it good enough I’ll be glad I wasted my time with this interview. *slow wicked grin*
Andie: *frowns*You should be at least a tiny bit grateful anyone wants to talk to you these days. Why do I like you again? And man! You and Dom are best buddies or what? I’m surprised a simple kiss could make you happy. And how could anything even make you be glad that you wasted–
Elias: I’m grateful to no one. *nips her bottom lip* Your mouth should be on mine, not moving with more rambling. And I never said a single kiss would suffice. *wraps an arm around her waist, the other hand cupping the back of her head…he pulls Andie snug against his body, so close his breath puffs on her face* I’m waiting…
Andie: * lets out a soft moan as she puts her mouth over * –

"Genesis Queen"
Book 3 in ROAD TO HELL series
Coming December 18, 2012 to Decadent Publishing and online e-book stores
Victory is hollow when fate maneuvers one as a pawn.
Madison’s mission is complete. Nix is rescued from Hell and her son safe from his dark destiny. But in the safe harbor of Nix’s love, her demonic husband warns of a murderous plot. Can she trust that it’s the truth and not another scheme to claim her for Hell’s throne?
Sometimes internal struggles can house our biggest demons.
With allies divided and prophecy heralding defeat, Madison gambles on Micah’s tenuous honor to keep their son protected. Torn between her heart’s desires and her dark requirements, Madison worries her hellish fate cannot be avoided. When betrayal comes from an unlikely direction, all their futures may be damned. In the darkest hour of Madison’s life, an undeniable providence will transpire. Who can she trust? And how far will she fall to defeat her foes?
Amid the rubble of defeat will Hell’s Genesis Queen dawn?
Genesis Queen Excerpt:
Nix located Mads in the kitchen. Bacon sizzled in the frying pan and grits were on a slow boil in a pot on the stove. She beat up a batch of pancake mix; at least he thought that was what she whipped up.
“How can you cook at a time like this?”
She did the most normal things at the weirdest moments.
“I’m not convinced this isn’t one of Micah’s attempts to bring me to heel.” She set the bowl aside and pulled out a griddle. “And cooking soothes me.”
God knew he loved her food. His belly grumbled in agreement. The way she moved as she prepared food was a thing of beauty, too. Watching her calmed him.
He handed over the photo Amos had drawn.
She wiped her hands on a kitchen towel before grasping the picture. After a long moment, she canted her face toward him. “What’s this?”
“Amos had a vision. Went glowy-eyed. That”—he nodded at the paper in her hand—“is the man he says is behind the attack.”
“An angel.” No question. A stated fact. Mads blew out a breath and leaned against the counter behind her. “He and Georgie hadn’t seen before….” She rubbed her eyes. “I thought Micah was lying. Like always.”
“He rarely lies.” The angel was painfully honest more often than not. It hurt to admit that even to himself. He wanted her to think of her husband as an unfeeling monster, but Nix’s relationship with Mads would always be built on honesty.
Her head snapped back. “Don’t defend him.”
“I’m not.” Not really, just stating the truth. He strode around the island and stepped in front of her. “We need him to help protect you both.”
“No.”
“Mads, baby….” He settled his weight against her. She adjusted her stance, widening her stride and granting him space between her thighs. His fingers slid through her hair, as her hands settled on his hips, her thumbs anchoring in his belt-loops. “I want you two as safe as I can get you. If accepting that bastard’s aid is going to keep you breathing, then we need it.”
