Review ~ Hidden by P. C. and Kristin Cast

Title: Hidden
Author: P. C. & Kristin Cast
Series: House of Night #10
Length: 320 pages
Released: August 16, 2012

In the must-read tenth installment of the #1 New York Timesbestselling vampyre series by PC and Kristin Cast, Darkness won’t stay hidden for long… “Move over Stephenie Meyer.” –People

Now in Hidden, the tenth installment of the series, the stakes are higher than ever before.

Neferet’s true nature has been revealed to the Vampyre High Council, so Zoey and the gang might finally get some help in defending themselves and their beloved school against a gathering evil that grows stronger every day. And they’ll need it, because Neferet’s not going down without a fight. Chaos reigns at the House of Night.

My Thoughts:

Jesus…why do we need to read this, again…? They could write ONE quite  GOOD book out of the last four in this series, but this is just waste of your money, not to mention your time and your hair...

Seriously, If Kalona and Aphrodite would not be in the books, I would not read even a letter more of this. God, Goddess, Santa Claus or whatever we have, somebody save the world from being in need of such a heroine, like Zoey, because we’re seriously will be screwed then. I swear that even my one-year-old niece would be better choice. As Nyx said; GROW THE F*CK UP, Z!!

FINALLY…finally we got rid of the love octagon in the previous books, so please, just please don’t bring Heath back, let him rest in peace, pretty please!!!

Unbelievable that we are still at the same point where we were 1200 pages, three books before. They could write a 40 pages long FREE TO DOWNLOAD novella out of those things that are worth something in this book…hell, in the last three books.

I’m going to start a petition to declare the day of the last book’s release as a public holiday and MAYBE we can close this ridiculous story once and for all. (I know, I know… if It’s crap, then I should stop reading, but my curiosity is a pain in the ass and I want to know how it all ends… :P )

Could I say more about this book? Sure. I could.
Is it necessary to say more about it? Of courseeeee….NOT!

Anyway, let’s see an über-super promo trailer (sarcasm!! Okay, it’s actually not that bad…)

Overall: As my Mucsi colleague would say; to know more about the risks and side effects, read….eh damn you, just do whatever you want! Recommended only for masochistic readers, Hardcore fans and for those who have infinite patience.

Dr. Melanie Lipton is no stranger to the supernatural.  She knows immortals better than they know themselves, right down to their stubborn little genes.  So although a handsome rogue immortal seems suspicious to her colleagues, Sebastien Newcombe intrigues Melanie.  His history is checkered, his scars are impressive, and his ideas are daring.  But it’s not his ideas that have Melanie fighting off surges of desire . . .

Bastien is used to being the bad guy.  In fact, he can’t remember the last time he had an ally he could trust.  But Melanie is different – and under her calm, professional exterior he senses a passion beyond anything in his centuries of experience.  Giving in to temptation is out of the question – he can’t put her in danger.  But she isn’t asking him . . .

Rift trailer + extra

Aaaand finally we got a trailer for Rift by Andrea Cremer!

Chronicling the rise of the Keepers, this is the stunning prequel to Andrea Cremer's internationally bestselling Nightshade trilogy!

Sixteen-year-old Ember Morrow is promised to a group called Conatus after one of their healers saves her mother's life. Once she arrives, Ember finds joy in wielding swords, learning magic, and fighting the encroaching darkness loose in the world. She also finds herself falling in love with her mentor, the dashing, brooding, and powerful Barrow Hess. When the knights realize Eira, one of their leaders, is dabbling in dark magic, Ember and Barrow must choose whether to follow Eira into the nether realm or to pledge their lives to destroying her and her kind.

With action, adventure, magic, and tantalizing sensuality, this book is as fast-paced and breathtaking as the Nightshade novels.

Book trailer:

Well, the actors are better than in the Bloodrose trailer, and the girl's voice isn't annoying, but there isn't much. I love motion picture trailers, but this could have been so much better. I love the narrator man's voice at the beginning ;)

Born of Silence book trailer

Death Stalks Them All...

Kere, the Caronese god of death, is the second most infamous member of the shadow organization called Sentella. As an explosives engineer who is known for striking terror into the hearts of all enemies and the League, the bounty on his head is truly staggering. No one outside the Sentella knows his real identity.

Zarya Starska grew up hard on the back streets of hell. Because of his political beliefs, her father was labeled a traitor and her family hunted to the brink of extinction. But Zarya dreams of a different life and a different world. A world where the harsh hand of the Caronese government doesn’t destroy the lives of its citizens. As a resistance leader, her goal is to topple to government that took her father’s life.

Her right hand is a mysterious man known only as Kere.

By the light of day…

Kere has a dark secret. As he aids the resistance, he’s actually working to bring down his own family- the Cruels. Born and bred from one of the oldest and noblest families in the United Systems, Kere’s real name is Darling Cruel. And the one thing he wants most is to see his uncle, who stole the crown from his father, to pay for his crimes.
If you tell a lie long enough, it becomes the truth…

Darling’s entire life is a lie. No one has ever seen the real him. No one except Zarya. She’s the only person he’s ever fully trusted with the truth. But when she betrays him by allowing a weapon he designed just for her to be used against the members of his family that he would die to protect, all bets are off.

The hero is now the monster…

Betrayed to the deepest level, Darling becomes an even worse enemy than his uncle. His goal is not only to reign, but to kill every resistance member he can find. He won’t rest until all of them are dead and that includes Zarya.

The twisted hand of fate…

Zarya is the only hope to reach the heart of the man her people once considered their ally. A man who hates her with a fury so great that she knows it’s just a matter of time before he kills her. But if she can find the part of him that once trusted her, the part of him that once loved her, she might be able to save not only her own life, but those of her people. It’s an impossible mission.

Luckily, she doesn’t play the odds.

***

I Love Sherrilynn Kenyon's book trailers, especially the Dark-Hunters and the previous League trailers, so I was eager to see the new one. Well, I'm a bit disappointed. It's like a fan Call Of Duty IRL or Counter Strike trailer... Nothing reminds me of the sci-fi except the first 4 seconds. The narrator is the same (at least i think) as in the other League trailers, and a big thanks for that. I love his voice! So, overall I give this trailer...

And can't wait to read this!!

Sweet Evil book trailer

This is the reality for the sons and daughters of fallen angels.

trailer for 'City of Lost Souls' by Cassandra Clare

Entertainment Weekly posted the official book trailer for City of Lost Souls',the fifth installment in Cassandra Clare’s Mortal Instruments series.

And WOW! It's a bit morbid, crazy, dark and I LOVE IT! I wasn't interested in this book (even though I'm a big fan of the series) after I read the blurb, I was more excited for the 6th book, but this trailer totally sucked me in and I want more and more and more and... ok you got the point.

Check it out!

So what do you think??
